How to Add New Services in EMR Software

- Navigate to Services:
- Go to the main menu and click on Service Management.
- Select Service List to view available services.
- Open the Add Service Popup:
- Click on the Add Service button.
- A popup box will appear, allowing you to enter the new service details.
- Fill Out Service Details:
- Service Name: Enter the name of the new service.
- Search / Add Service: Use this field to search for an existing service or confirm the new service entry.
- Type: Click Select Type and choose the appropriate category for the service (e.g., diagnostic, therapeutic).
- Group: Click Select Group and choose a group to organize the service.
- Price: Enter the service’s price.
- Save the Service:
- Once all fields are filled, confirm the details and save the new service.

- Navigate to Services:
- Go to Service Management from the main menu.
- Click on Service List to view all available services.
- Open Labs & Imaging Services:
- In the Service Management menu, select Labs & Imaging for services related to laboratory tests and imaging procedures.
- Select the Appropriate Lab or Imaging Type:
- Choose the Type that fits the service (e.g., blood tests, MRI scans, X-rays).
- For example:
- Lab Types: Blood work, pathology, microbiology, etc.
- Imaging Types: MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, etc.
- Choose Service Group for Organization:
- Click on Select Group to assign the service to a specific group like Diagnostic, Screening, or Follow-up for easy organization.
- Enter Price:
- Specify the Price for the service.
- Add and Save the Service:
- Once all fields are completed, click Add Service to save the lab or imaging service.
- The service will now be added to the Labs & Imaging list for easy management.

- Groups represent external organizations or departments used for referrals.
- Examples include:
- Labs: LabCorp, Quest Lab
- Hospitals: Wellspring, IDC
- Other Organizations: Biogene, Pink Mission

Enter service categories like Lab Work, Imaging, etc. - Add Groups:
Add referral organizations such as labs, diagnostic centers, or hospitals. - Ensure all required entries are created here before proceeding to other services.

What Are CPT and HCPCS Codes?
- CPT Codes (Current Procedural Terminology):
These codes standardize the description of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services for accurate billing and record-keeping. - HCPCS Codes (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System):
These codes include additional services not covered in CPT, such as medical equipment and supplies.
Where to Add CPT and HCPCS Codes
- Go to the Services menu on the left-hand side.
- Select CPT & HCPCS Codes from the available options.

Managing Codes
- Click on 'Add Service Code':
This will open a form to input new codes. - Fill in the Following Details:
- CPT Code: Enter the code for the procedure (e.g., 99213 for office visits).
- Description: Provide a brief description of the service (e.g., "Standard Consultation").
- Fee: Specify the service's fee.
- Save the Code:
Once all details are filled, click Save to add the code to the system.
Managing Codes
- Use the Action column to:
- Edit existing codes.
- Delete codes no longer in use.
